Published Sep 16, 2019After losing out on the rights to The Office and Friends, Netflix clearly had some spending money freed up to acquire another major television property. The streaming hub has done just that, swooping in on a worldwide deal to stream Seinfeld.
The classic '90s sitcom will move to Netflix on a worldwide scale when its current deal with Hulu is up in 2021. This will mark the first time that Seinfeld's streaming rights have been available in the same place worldwide. Outside of the United States, the show currently streams on Amazon and Crave.
It's unclear how much Netflix paid for the series, but we're guessing it was a decent amount of cash. After all, Hulu is currently paying $150 million USD a year to stream the show in America.
Look for Seinfeld to hit your Netflix queue in 2021.
