Anderson .Paak Gets Noname, J.I.D and Jay Rock for 'Lockdown' Remix
Back in the early days of summer, Anderson .Paak returned with an anti-police brutality anthem, "Lockdown," to mark Juneteenth. Now, the artist has rounded up conscious rap's greatest, including the ceaselessly political Noname, alongside J.I.D and Jay Rock.

Almost two months since the original track's release, the "Lockdown" remix remains a document of troubled times, while haphazard containment of the coronavirus pandemic continues and anti-racist protests persist south of the border and around the world.

"Have you had your coffee this evening, Karen? / 'Cause you seem a little off / All the black girls missin' and endin' up inside the coffins / But you mad when they #BlackLivesMatter on front your sidewalks," J.I.D raps on the track.

The updated version arrives today courtesy of Aftermath Entertainment.
