Published Jan 29, 2019This year marks the 20th anniversary of Black Label Society's debut album Sonic Brew, and to celebrate the occasion, the Zakk Wylde-led group have mapped out an anniversary tour, in addition to a remixed and remastered version of the album.
Starting in April, the band will embark on the 16-date "20 Years of Sonic Brewtality" tour. In markets with two scheduled shows, the band will perform Sonic Brew in its entirety the first evening, while dedicating the second night to a set of their greatest hits.
Black Label Society will play a pair of dates in Toronto in May, posting up at the Opera House May 14 and 15. Support on the tour will come from Conan and Atomic Bitchwax.
As for the reissue, the band will deliver a "new, reimagined version" of Sonic Brew on May 17 through eOne. Titled Sonic Brew 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 - 5.19, the reissue is said to feature a pair of bonus tracks a full-band/piano version of "Spoke in the Wheel" and an acoustic version of "Black Pearl."
eOne has also licensed the band's entire back catalogue, promising to release titles in "never-before-released formats" in the coming years. In the meantime, find Black Label Society's tour itinerary below.
