Drake Got the CN Tower to Light Up Gold in Honour of His Grammy Win
Drake proved who really holds the highest position of power in his hometown of Toronto, getting Mayor John Tory to comply with the rapper's demand to turn the CN Tower gold in honour of his Grammy win.

Backstage on Sunday (February 10) — after his acceptance speech was possibly ended early — Drake grabbed the Entertainment Tonight mic and told the camera that he had a message for the mayor: "The mayor of Toronto needs to turn the CN Tower gold tomorrow."

Less than 24 hours later, Tory complied and confirmed that the skyscraping tower would indeed bit lit up in gold last night (February 11) to pay tribute to Drake and the other Canadian Grammy winners.

Drake seemed pleased enough with the response, joking, "I was talking last night as if I don't have these on control using the hue lighting app."

He then added some sincerity, declaring his love for Toronto and his gratitude to "the waviest mayor."
