Published Nov 12, 2013Simone Schmidt established herself in Canada's music scene as a part of bands like One Hundred Dollars and the Highest Order, but she's now making moody, hard-to-define music as Fiver. Her debut album, Lost the Plot, was released in September.
We caught up with Schmidt at Toronto's Saving Gigi, where she played Lost the Plot track "Rage of Plastics." Played solo, the song is cut down from its seven-minute length, and focuses on Schmidt's voice and hypnotic guitar picking. The result is a sombre and eerie performance. Check it out below, and catch Fiver tomorrow (November 13) at Toronto's Royal Cinema for their CD release show, playing alongside Timber Timbre.
