Published Nov 25, 2016This fall Deus Ex: Mankind Divided stormed onto consoles and PC, and while the game has been out for a few months now, the soundtrack is finally coming out next week. On December 2, the soundtrack will arrive in a variety of configurations via Nile Rodgers-founded label Sumthing Else Music Works, but right now you can hear an exclusive preview here at Exclaim!
The score was composed by Canadian soundtracker Michael McCann (a.k.a. Behavior) and Sascha Dikiciyan (a.k.a. Sonic Mayhem), who co-produced the album, as well as composer Ed Harrison.
As a press release explains, "The music direction of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided represents an evolution of the score created for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.... Mankind Divided deals with heavier subjects and, as a result, the music has been adapted to reflect the new state of the world. It plays a key role in immersing players within the more mature and darker atmosphere of the game, while still staying true to Deus Ex's distinctive and signature style."
You can get an idea what that soundtrack like for yourself in the preview stream, which features tracks composed by Dikiciyan, below.
Along with the digital version, the soundtrack will come in two different editions: a standard and an extended 2-CD version including 14 additional tracks. There's also a vinyl edition of Deus Ex: Human Revolution arriving the same day, and you can pre-order the release here.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC via Square Enix/Eidos.
