Published May 28, 2020Like basically every band, Slipknot were forced to postpone their upcoming tour plans, but now they are helping to fill the void with an interactive Knotfest site, which is hosting a special event featuring full concert sets, original interviews and various other at-home content.
On Friday (May 29), the newly revamped website will be streaming full concert sets by Slipknot and originally planned Knotfest Roadshow openers Underoath and Code Orange.
"Marking what would have been the kick-off weekend of the highly anticipated Knotfest Roadshow US tour, this special streaming event will feature exclusive concert streams and interviews with Slipknot, Underoath and Code Orange," the website explains. "In addition, a limited Knotfest Roadshow merch drop will be available this week only — until Sunday May 31st at 11:59pm, featuring the tour merch collection that would have been sold this summer."
For the event, Slipknot will be streaming their 2019 headline set from Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, while Underoath will be streaming their 2016 performance from the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, where they performed their classic album They're Only Chasing Safety in full. Finally, Code Orange will stream their Last Ones Left: In Fear of the End performance, which originally aired on Twitch back in March.
You can learn more about the streaming event at the Knotfest website.
Beyond that streaming event, the Knotfest site has been featuring Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan doing a series of interviews under the banner of "The Electric Theater." You can check out the first episode below with Code Orange singer Jami Morgan.
