Vampire Weekend Reveal Album Title, Share Two New Songs
After teasing us with acronyms and hours of looping guitar, Vampire Weekend have finally revealed that the band's fourth album is titled Father of the Bride.

That information arrives after a week that has seen fans tweeting and DM-ing the band guesses about the album title, including Fam Obtain the Bread, Fresh Outta Taco Bell, Frog on the Bassdrum, Flight of the Bumblebee ("it's 18 different remixes of the Rimsky-Korsakov classic"), Fourth of the Bops, Fucking on the Beat and Find Out Tomorrow Buddy — the last of which technically did turn out to be factually correct, when frontman Ezra Koenig made the announcement on Beats 1 this morning.

He discussed the upcoming 18-song album on Beats 1, hinting that an April release date is "definitely possible," though an official date has not been announced.

Koenig previously said that six teaser tracks will be released, with two songs dropping every month in the lead-up to the release date — implying that the record should be arriving in three month's time.

He also teased at collaborators on the upcoming LP, saying that Steve Lacy and another unnamed guest both feature on multiple songs, and that former bandmate Rostam also worked on the record. He contributed additional production to "Harmony Hall" and also worked closely with Koenig on another song.

Additionally, Koenig unveiled the first two tracks from Father of the Bride, sharing "Harmony Hall" and "2021."

"There's something for us that just feels good about always showing two sides of the album," he told host Matt Wilkinson. "So I think this is a very small taste of the whole record but this gives a little bit of a sense of what you might expect. 'Harmony Hall' has a certain type of energy, '2021' another."

Listen to both new songs below, and stay tuned for further album details as they become available.

Vampire Weekend's last studio album arrived with 2013's Modern Vampires of the City.
