Brad Pitt Reportedly Involved in Jerry Lee Lewis Biopic
Jerry Lee Lewis is a rock'n'roll pioneer, but he's often best remembered as the guy whose career bottomed out after he married his 13-year-old cousin. Lewis's life was previously the subject of a biopic, Great Balls of Fire, released in 1989. Now, he's once again the subject of a movie, and Brad Pitt is reportedly involved.

This news comes from a post by The Hollywood Reporter [via Rolling Stone] which suggests that director Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line) is working on "a Jerry Lee Lewis-related project he's developing with Brad Pitt."

What's more, Malick reportedly has set his sights set on actress Natalie Portman to appear in the film. There's no more information currently available, but it seems likely Pitt will play Lewis, with Portman possibly joining him as his cousin/wife, Myra Gale Brown.

Given that Lewis and Brown were in their early 20s and early teens, respectively, when they wed, Pitt and Portman are clearly too old to play the couple when they first got together. It's possible that the film will concern the fallout from their controversial marriage; the couple divorced in 1970, after 13 years together.

At this point, the news is still very much tentative, but the film is definitely an interesting prospect.
