Dave Grohl's Very First Song Surfaces in 'Sonic Highways' Outtake
Published Jan 30, 2017Foo Fighters fans got some serious insight into the inner workings of the band with the 2014 HBO series Sonic Highways, but now even more footage has surfaced from frontman Dave Grohl's early days.
In a new outtake from the series, Grohl revisits his past by listening to a tune called "Gods Look Down" on camera. The track eventually wound up on Scream's Fumble, but in the new clip, we get to listen along to the original version of the song with Grohl and long-time Foos producer Barret Jones.
The early version marks the first song that Grohl recorded, and he plays all of the instruments on it.
"I sound like a girl," Grohl remarks upon hearing the track. "I don't think my balls had dropped yet."
