Emay Returns with "Republic of New Afrika"

Emay has returned with a new song. You can stream and purchase the Edmonton-via-Hamilton artist's "Republic of New Afrika" in the player below.The self-produced "Republic of New Afrika" is a brief critique of white supremacy, capitalism, imperialism and neo-colonialism, with Emay eviscerating each of these ills in an unflinching delivery before he "burn[s] it all to ash to rehash."
The cover art for "Republic of New Afrika," seen above, pictures Mao Zedong shaking hands with Ghanian leader and pan-African revolutionary Kwame Nkrumah. Emay has been at work on a follow-up to his 2017 album Ilah.
