Published Mar 27, 2020As the coronavirus pandemic continues to upend the entertainment world, Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann has tested positive for COVID-19.
UPDATE (3/27, 3:30 p.m. ET): Rammstein have stepped in to debunk the news that Lindemann tested positive for COVID-19. The band issued a statement on their social media clarifying the singer actually tested negative, but he was in intensive care. Now, however, he is said to be feeling better. You can see the band's statement below.
According to a report from German newspaper Bild, Lindemann was hospitalized after returning to Germany from a European tour with side-project, also named Lindemann. The tour was cancelled following a March 17 date in Russia due to the global spread.
The singer was hospitalized with an extremely high fever ahead of testing positive for the virus and was placed in quarantine. The paper reports that Lindemann is now recovering.
At present, Rammstein are slated to kick off a North American tour this May. The band are hitting the road behind last year's Untitled album, though chances are the tour will be delayed.
