Screaming Females "Empty Head"

Screaming Females 'Empty Head'
Ahead of their new album Rose Mountain, riff-riding New Jersey alt-punks Screaming Females have shared a new single called "Empty Head."

The song's a muscular, distortion-drenched track complete with heavy guitars, pounding drums and frontwoman Marissa Paternoster's powerful vocal delivery.

Speaking with the FADER, who debuted the track, drummer Jarret Dougherty explained that the song was written early on in the Rose Mountain process, but took a long time to perfect. "Our focus for this record was to create the most melodic and concise music of our 10 year history.... Figuring out what was at the core of 'Empty Head' wasn't just important to this particular song, it was really part of the fundamental challenge of Rose Mountain as a whole."

Listen to "Empty Head" below. Rose Mountain will arrive on February 24 through Don Giovanni Records.
